Hello Future Year 5s

July 27, 2020

Happy Holidays to all of you,

In just a few weeks, you will officially be in Year 5. An incredibly exciting time lays ahead.

Since we couldn’t meet in person before, we thought to send you a little video – actually due to the file-size it is two videos –, were you can find out a little bit about us.

This year, you will receive your Summer Holiday activities (“Transition booklet”) through the class-blog. Here are our suggested activities. Please aim to complete a sensible amount of them. What we would most love to receive is a little postcard from a trip or activity that you have done during the summer holidays. On one side, please draw yourself during this activity and on the other side, please tell us a little bit about it. Please bring them in on our first day back at school. We can’t wait to read your messages.

Southwark Home Learning Final Two Days of Term

July 19, 2020

A huge thank you to those of you who joined us for the transition days and for our end of year Zoom party on Thursday. Miss Danzey and I  loved seeing you all looking so well and are very grateful for the presents and kind words you gave us. We wish you a very happy and healthy Summer holidays. For the last two days of term we have set you a couple of activities for you to do as well as a couple of games to get you into the holiday mood.  Enjoy and we look forward to seeing you all in year five.

English-Write a letter introducing yourself to your new school teacher for September.

For Southwark Bridge Class- Miss Winser

For Millennium Bridge- Mr Grundey

Introduce yourself and then tell your new teacher about yourself. This could include:

  • Your favourite food
  • Your favourite TV shows or music
  • Your hobbies and what you enjoy doing
  • What your favourite subjects are at school and why
  • What you are looking forward to in the new academic year
  • Any worries you may have

Your new teacher will be really looking forward to reading your letters and would love you to bring them in in September so that they can get to know you a little bit. If you would like to post them to us on Class Dojo and we will send them on for you.
