This week our learning will be as follows;

• In mathematics we will be learning to measure perimeter.
• In English we will be begin a new unit of work based on Greek Myths by Marcia Williams. We will explore a graphic novel version of the myth of Pandora’s box and we will learn to sequence and summarise the story.
• In science we will be exploring pitch using the instruments the children have made at home over half term. They should bring their instruments to school by Wednesday morning.
• Our blocked foundation subject will be geography. We will be developing our map skills.

Millennium Class will swim on Tuesday and do PE on Friday. Southwark Class will do PE on Tuesday and Thursday.

This week our learning will be as follows;

• In mathematics we will learn strategies for using the 9 times table.
• In English we will look at the poet Benjamin Zephaniah. We will look at figurative language, learn about the poet, study the poem Talking Turkeys and write our own poem. This will be part of our work in connection with Black History month
• In science we will conclude our work on sound.
• Our blocked subject this week will be computing. We will learn to create a wiki page on Ancient Greece.

Millennium Class will have their last swimming lesson before the Spring Term on Tuesday.  and have PE on Friday. Southwark Class will do PE on Tuesday and Thursday. After the half term holiday Southwark Class will begin their swimming lessons.
