WELCOME TO MILLENNIUM CLASS
I am Miss Danzey and I believe I have met most parents by now and look forward to meeting everyone else as time goes on.
We also have Mrs Khmurovska in the class every day.
In Year 4 we ask our children to be more independent and take responsibility for changing their own books but we still ask them to read every day and with an adult as often as possible.
Thank you for your understanding and support and I look forward to working with you all over the course of the year.
Well done for all your amazing work over the past two weeks Year 4. It has been wonderful to see how hard you are all working and to be able to share your fantastic work with us on Class Dojo!
You may be aware that Monday is the start of the Easter holidays. We believe that you all deserve your Easter break and so we are suspending our daily learning blog for the next two weeks. We will resume our daily blog on Monday 20th April.
If you wish to continue your learning during this time, feel free to look back over previous blogs for tasks you have missed or wish to try again. Of course, TT Rockstars, Mathletics, Get Epic and Fiction Express all remain available to you and reading remains an important part of your learning. We have also included an Easter Bingo sheet of activities you might like to try with your families which you could share with us on Class Dojo. Easter Activity Bingo
We hope that you get an opportunity to enjoy the sunny weather which is predicted for the Easter break while still keeping safe with your family.
Stay well and happy and check back on the blog on Monday 20th April!
Year 4 Team-Miss Danzey and Miss Turpie
Sorry for the late upload, technical difficulties this morning!
We are at the end of week 2, we hope you are all keeping well and have found a routine for yourselves.
Your daily home learning tasks:
Maths-Try day 4, hundredths on a place value grid
English- Read and compare the two poems;
Which do you like best? Why?
Pick your favourite poem and then turn it into a storyboard (like a story map, pick out the key points and use words and pictures to record) Storyboard
Then write a story version of your poem using expanded noun phrases, fronted adverbial phrases and a range of conjunctions.
Singing-If you want to have a go at some music, then check out this site. You should know some of the songs already but there are new ones to learn too
Keep safe and well. Remember to keep in touch through Class Dojo!
