Science-Let’s get back to our exciting electricity topic:

L.O- I can identify whether or not a lamp will light in a circuit

Look at the circuits from the PowerPoint Will_this_circuit_work choose 3 circuits and decide whether they will work or not work. Explain, using the glossary to help you if you need it, why each of the three circuits will work or not work.Electricity_and_Circuit_Glossary

You can record yourself saying this on a video or write it down with diagrams (pictures)to help explain your understanding. If you are still unsure what makes a circuit work or not work look at the links below:

Art/Design and Technology-

L.O-I can design an Egyptian death mask-

Next week , we would like you to begin making an Egyptian god or goddess mask

This week I would like you to think about the design process by answering the following questions:

What materials will I need?

Which tools will I need?

Which tools and materials do I have available to me at home?

What do I want my final mask to look like?

What steps will I make to achieve my final design (instructions)

You might want to look at the following links to give you some ideas for which resources you could use to design and make a mask.

To have a go at making an Egyptian God or Goddess mask next week you could use:

A base mask     for example found at https://www.poundland.co.uk/375664-cat-mask/

paper plates https://www.poundland.co.uk/90363-party-paper-plates-30-pack/

Cardboard and newspaper from your recycling bins

Or just paper and felt tip pens

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXU3Vd-c5sk

History-L.O-To learn all about Egyptian gods and goddesses and begin to find out what the ancient Egyptians believed.

#Lesson Presentation Egyptian Gods

Ancient-Egyptian-Gods-Differentiated-Comprehension-Activity_ver_8

Use the first sheet of this comprehension to find out about an ancient Egyptian god or goddess. Then use the Egypt’s Got Talent sheet or a piece of paper to record all you have found out about your god or goddess to convince the judges yours is best. Could you use this god or goddess as the one you use for your mask design? If you want something extra to do you could do one of the comprehensions on the fact sheet to test your understanding.

Activity Sheet Ancient Egypt’s Got Talent

R.E-L.O-I know how the religion of Islam began

https://www.thenational.academy/year-4/foundation/how-did-the-religion-of-islam-begin-year-4-wk5-1

Complete the introductory quiz to test your previous knowledge. Then click on next activity or the green dots at the bottom of the page to move on to the lesson video. You will be making a timeline of the prophet Muhammed’s life. Remember not to draw pictures of Muhammed as this is seen as highly disrespectful.

Latin- This week as well as practising sentence construction, we are introducing prepositions (a word that describes the position of a person or thing in time or space, eg, under the table). See if you can fit them into the sentences in the exercise Latin Prepositions

Music- More songs to get you moving and feeling happy. This week features songs about kindness https://www.outoftheark.co.uk/ootam-at-home/

Time for a break- Feeling a bit stiff and frustrated? I tried doing some Tai Chi with Thomas to relax and stretch out. It feels a little strange and silly at first but once you get used to the movements it is really quite calming (we muted the video and played our own relaxing music choices)
