English
We begin our learning by writing a recount about the holiday. We will then be focusing on poems and learn some weather / rain poems and perform them. Vauxhall Class will be going on their Library trip and then do a diary entry about it.
Mathematics
We will start our learning with multiplication.
Science
We continue to explore classification of animals – herbivores, carnivores and omnivores and also begin our learning about spring.
PE
Children will be continuing their learning about movement and balances – ‘Dynamic Balance to Agility’- jumping and landing as well as begin their learning about doing different rolls – log rolls, egg rolls, teddy bear rolls where they learn to use different parts of their bodies.
RE
We continue our learning about Christianity: We will be discussing lifestyles and celebration: Where do Christians go to worship?
ICT

Our topic is ‘We are collectors’. where we find images about space / animals using the web to help with our learning. Children will then copy and paste images into a word document.
Please support your child to use the mouse and keyboard as they need to develop this important skill.
PSHE
We revisit the Zones of Regulation. Your children are amazing at calming down using a range of breathing techniques. Please ask your child to demonstrate the hand breathing, lazy eight breathing, hexagonal breathing etc..
We will also continue developing friendships and how to be a good friend.
Music
Children learn to use voices expressively and creatively. They will also develop an understanding of rhythm and tempo.
Phonics
Please continue to practice sound recognition with your child. Encourage them to apply their phonic knowledge every time you read or write with them.
Homework
Please support your child to complete their homework – keeping a weather diary and making a weather poster. Please continue to read with your child .

Your children were authors last week. This week they will read and edit their own creative stories based on the Man on the Moon. Then We will be writing two non-chronological reports about space and winter season.
