Week Beginning 22nd February 2021

Most children will continue to learn remotely for at least the next fortnight. In English we will be beginning a unit of work based on Escape from Pompeii by Christina Balit. This will support our work in history and geography. In mathematics we will learn about money. In science we will begin a unit of work on famous scientists beginning with a lesson on Thomas Edison. In RE we continue with our challenge unit, how should we care for our world? and will learn about the Hindu creation story. A full timetable for the week is below. [/dropshadowbox]
There will continue to be live lessons each day at 10:45 and a live story reading at 2:30 on Friday we look forward to seeing all children at those sessions.
Congratulations to Magnus, Japdeep, Nicole, Mason, Tyanna, Yeabsira, Elizabeth and Lana who were awarded merit cards at our assembly on 11th February. Miss Handley will be leading another merit assembly at 9:15 on Friday.

Welcome to Spring Term 2!
Thank you for keeping motivated and attending our live lessons and Merit Assembly last week as well as completing our Learning Challenges. It was wonderful to see so many of you. We look forward to seeing you all this week too.
Please find this week’s timetable below.
Handwriting, Phonics, English, Maths will be posted daily. Please do continue Reading using the Oxford Owls log in set up for your class. Kindly contact your class teacher if you experience any problems and we will assist you.
Daily story-time videos will be posted. Please take a few moments to watch and respond. We read with your children every day in school and we want your child to continue having similar experiences.
We are posting all the foundation subject activities at the start of the week which should make it easier. Please feel free to pick the foundation activities you and your child would like to do. Don’t worry, there is no expectation to do them all, we just thought we would put a range up so you have the choice. Children can watch videos and respond.

Welcome back to Spring term 2 Year Four. This week we will be holding daily live lessons at 11.30 for you all as well as lots of fun lessons to keep you learning remotely. The links to join our live lessons will go live at 11.25 each day on your Google Classroom stream.

Welcome back to the start of the Spring 2 Term. We hope you enjoyed a much deserved rest over half term.
Remote learning will continue and only children of critical workers and vulnerable children will attend school this week as we await further announcements from the Government. The school will write to you as soon as we know more about the reopening of schools for everyone.
This week, Reception live lessons will take place via Google Meets. A link to the sessions will be posted each morning at 9.10 on your Google Classroom Stream. Lessons will begin at 9.15. Mondays and Fridays will be whole class sessions. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays will be Group Phonics lessons. For more information see the suggested weekly timetable below.
We look forward to seeing everyone at our first Google Meet session on Monday.
