Week beginning 17th July 2017.

This is the last week of the academic year and the pupils are excited about moving on to Year 5.

In Maths this week we will revise and consolidate strategies involving the use of the four operations.

In English we will complete a task on report writing.

In Science, we will complete our topic by investigating how plants and animals depend on each other and what happens when the food chain is broken.

On Thurday, which is the last day we will have an extended assembly to celebrate their successes.

We wish Mr Robinson a happy retirement but look forward to seeing him when he visits us.

Week beginning 10th July 2017.

In Maths this week, we will compare different angles, draw lines of symmetry and aim to complete symmetrical shapes from a line of symmetry.

In English, the children will write an information leaflet and add language that will capture the attention of the audience.

In Science, the children will investigate how changes in the environment affect food chains and then undertake an assessment of the topic.

In PHSE, we will learn about taking responsibility for our actions.

The children have Science homework this week. Please help them investigate how animals and plants adapt to their environments. In addition, refer to changes in climate and discuss the effect this has to ecosystems.

The children have independent learning to complete in Mathletics and RMeasimaths.

A few children are not submitting their homework. Please check the homework diaries and do not hesitate to contact us for clarification.
