Thank you for coming to the Phonics Workshop last week and for your valuable feedback.

From Monday 7th October your child will receive a colour banded reading scheme book as well as a library book. Please support your child to develop their early skills for reading by:
• looking at the cover of book and predicting what the book might be about
• talking about the pictures and asking them to tell you what is happening
• If the book contains decodable words, show them how to sound out the letters and blend together to read.
(It's time to practise the skills you picked up at the Phonics Workshop)

Please don’t forget to come to the Maths Workshop on THURSDAY, 10th October 2019. You can choose to attend either ONE of the two sessions: 9.00-10.00 or 2.00-3.00. This workshop will focus on how your child will learn the skills to develop their mathematical thinking and understanding.

Please help your child settle into their school routine by being prompt in the morning and at collection time. Please be reminded that school starts at 8.50am and finishes at 3.30pm.

Kind regards,
Reception Team
