Week Beginning 2nd December

This week our learning will be as follows;

  • In Mathematics we will continue to work on fractions, learning how to find fractions of quantities and to find equivalent fractions.
  • In English we will explore and retell the middle section of Aladdin and the Enchanted Lamp by Philip Pullman.
  • In History we will compare three Bronze Age civilisations.
  • In Science we will investigate the spectrum of light.
  • In RE we will learn about Christmas symbolism. This will include making our own Christingles.

The children are continuing to work hard in year 3. This week our learning will be as follows;

  • In mathematics we will learn to recognise and use fractions. We will focus on tenths.
  • In English we will explore the beginning of Aladdin and the Enchanted Lamp by Phillip Pullman.
  • In science we will learn about reflection.
  • In history we will research and compare three Bronze Age settlements.
  • In RE we will begin a new unit on Christmas symbols. We will start by looking at the

We would be grateful for parents’ support in helping them to practise at home. The performance is on the morning of Tuesday 17th December and it would be lovely to have as many parents there as possible.[/dropshadowbox]
