It is linked to Science and children will learn about plants. They will name and identify common flowers and plants as well as describe the basic structure of plants.[/dropshadowbox]

English

Children will learn about the features of instructions and will sequence pictures and write instructions for brushing teeth and plant beans. They will also edit their writing. Our focus text is Jasper’s Beanstalk and children will sequence events and write the story.

Maths

Children will continue their learning about place value, comparing numbers using greater than > and lesser than<. They will recap number bonds to 10, 20 and multiples of 10 to 100.

Science

Children will observe seasonal changes ‘Spring’ and describe weather patterns and understand how day length varies. They will also continue learning about the names of common flowers and plants  including deciduous and evergreen trees.

Geography

Children will name, locate and identify characteristics of the 4 countries and capital cities of the United Kingdom and its surrounding seas on Maps-Atlas work.

P.E

Gymnastics- Children will be learning to travel, balance and sequence movements.

PSHE

SEAL- Good to be me. Children will be thinking about people in their circle of friendship.

Art

Children will be learning about primary and secondary colours.

R.E

We will be looking at Christianity- Authority and worship.

 Home work :– Poster about Primary and Secondary colours.
