Thank you for helping your children to create their shoebox stories. We have been very impressed by your collaborative creations. It looks like you had as much fun making them as the children did. Also thank you for getting the children enthused about World Book Day by getting them dressed up as their favourite book character. They looked amazing!

Also, many thanks for completing our short survey about the use of our Class Blog. Your comments and suggestions are valued. If you haven’t completed yours yet , please send in as soon as you can.

Kind Regards

Last week the children were introduced to the part whole model method of representing addition so here’s a useful video to explain what it is all about. Please note that there are a range of diagrams used to explain this model. The one used in this video may be different to the one your child has learnt to use. Please ask your child to show you which they have used.

My own Gingerbread story

We have been using our imagination to create a new adventure for the Gingerbread man. What adventure do you think he could have next if he escaped from the fox? Where would he go? What would he do? Who would he meet? Draw a picture and write a few sentences about Gingerbread man’s next adventure.

READING BOOKS: Please send in reading books and reading diaries on group days. Please note that if a book is lost, we kindly ask that you please replace the book with a similar book as our stock of books are dwindling

WORD LISTS: Please note that due to our busy schedule in Reception word lists will now only be checked on Group reading days along with reading book changes.

MATHLETICS: Sorry for the delay in sending out passwords. We are awaiting passwords for the classes and will send this out as soon as they become available. [/dropshadowbox]
