Southwark News Week Beginning 13th November

Week beginning 13th November 2017.

In Maths this week, we are beginning to use written methods to subtract from a 4 digit number. We will continue to use the concrete, pictorial and abstract models to ensure deeper understanding and fluency,

In English, we will be continuing our legends unit based around the legend of Robin Hood. The children in year 4 are very much enjoying using the Marcia William’s book-The Adventures of Robin Hood to explore this legend and will be beginning to plan and write our our Robin Hood adventures this week. In Science, we will continue learning about teeth and the digestion system.

Monday 13th November 2017 Trip to Grants Cinema to watch Trolls.

Thursday 16th November 2017 Trip to Vue Croydon Purley Way to watch Ninjago.

For both cinema trips the children will be leaving promptly in the morning and be back to school on time for lunch. Please ensure your child is at school by 8.50am to avoid any delays or disappointment.

Thursday 7th December 2017 Trip to watch a Pantomime Show at Waddon Leisure Centre.
