Thank you for allowing us to get to know your children and understanding that, due to our limited space and lessons starting at 8.50, we cannot allow parents and carers to enter the huts before or after school. Please leave your children at the end of the ramp and any urgent messages, such as a different person picking your child up or illness, need to be delivered via the office or a written note. Queries about homework can be written in the homework diary which is checked daily by an adult.

We understand that you are interested to see your child’s new learning environment and so have included pictures below:

Our learning this week:

Maths-We will be working on place value of up to four digit numbers, representing them pictorially, in words and numerals.

English-We will be using video stimuli to explore a character’s feelings about starting school. This will link to our PSHE focus.

Science-We will begin our unit on electricity, exploring what electricity can do.

Topic- We will begin our unit on Anglo-Saxons and Vikings by finding out what life was like in Britain 50, 100, 500 and 1,000 years ago.

PE-For the present PE will take place on Monday and Tuesday. Children will be learning invasion games and gymfit circuits this term.

PSHE/Wellbeing-The whole school will be introducing zones of regulation.
