Dear Parents and Carers!
School starts at 8.55am and finishes at 3:05pm.
If you have any relevant questions, please contact us via the Year-Group-Email: year1@howard.croydon.sch.uk or the comment feature in Google Classroom. We will aim to respond as quickly as possible.
We are continuing to learn with lots of adult led carpet sessions in the classroom and free flow & choice activities indoors and out doors.

Our learning for this week………
Reading:
We will change the reading books this week. Please return your child’s reading book back with your comments on your child’s yellow reading records books. Reading books will not be changes without your comments!!!
Phonics:
In our phonic groups, we are revising all the sounds that we have learnt so far.
Maths:
We are learning to count within 100 and say what is happening to the tens digits when counting in ones.
PE:
We have PE on Mondays and Wednesdays. Please send your children with their PE kits to school on these days.
Sports and P.E. Kit (Boys and Girls):
Blue school T-shirt with logo
Shorts black or navy
Black plimsolls. Trainers can be worn for outdoor sports.
RHE ( Relationship and Health Education)
We use JIGSAW across our School to develop children’s skills, knowledge and understanding as well as emotional literacy.
We are going to learn lesson 1- ‘Being me in My World’ -children are going learn how to feel special and safe in class.
Art:
This week, we are going to use lines and tone to create our own pictures.
Science:
We are going learn how to label the parts of the body.
Geography
We are going to discuss about our local area- Croydon and learn how to draw a map.
