Week beginning 29^th January 2018.

In Maths this week, we will learn to tell the time to the nearest minute, and to tell and write the time using analogue and digital clocks.

In English, we will write story maps about the Magic dogs of the Volcanoes.

In Science, we will learn about Mary Anning and her contribution to palaentology.

In RE, we will study about Tu B’Shevat and we will have a food tasting day later in the week.

Please encourage your child to use Mathletics, Spellodrome and Teach your monster regularly.

Week beginning 22^nd January 2018.

In Maths this week we will estimate answers to calculations. We will use inverse to check if our answers are correct when adding and subtracting.

In English, we will start another genre, Stories from other cultures. We will study a story from Brazil, Magic dogs of the Volcanoes by Escrito Arguetta.

In Science, we will conduct an investigation about the properties of rocks.

In RE, we will explore the benefits of living near volcanoes.

In P.E the children are creating their own routines and using the key techniques learned this term.

Please encourage your child to read every day and support them in learning their multiplication and division facts of 3, 4 and 8.
